Hana Group launches brand dedicated to older customers
Hana Financial Group launched a new brand dedicated to older customers, Hana The Next, to meet the demand for retirement planning fueled by the growing aging population.
The banking group said Tuesday that Hana The Next will specialize in financial services tailored for the senior client base, with products coming from Hana Financial Group’s different affiliates.
Hana The Next opened its first dedicated center in Hana Bank’s Euljiro Banking Center in Jung District, central Seoul, on Monday.
The staff members at the center consist of professionals who have received training on senior-focused investment products and pension portfolios, according to Hana Financial Group.
Hana Bank said will introduce a new target date fund trust, an investment fund product for senior customers that will allow them to withdraw partial amounts from the investment seed for “pension-like use."
Hana Asset Management, too, will release an exchange-traded fund that provides a similar monthly income, while Hana Insurance will offer dementia care coverage.
There will be a group-wide task force set up to facilitate a more fluid connection between the different Hana Financial Group companies.
Clients wishing to visit Hana The Next’s lounges are required to make a reservation before visiting for a consultation, a process that can be done through Hana Bank’s mobile app or by calling. Anyone is welcome to walk in and take a break, the bank added.
More Hana The Next centers will open in the future, with branches near Seolleung Station in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, and in Mapo and Yeongdeungpo in western Seoul in the future.
Hana Life Insurance will also kick off a senior day services business in the first half of 2025 followed by a “premium nursing home” near Seoul in the second half of 2026.
“[Hana The Next] will be in charge of planning for the future through financial services on top of the nonfinancial services such as healthcare and quality of life services,” Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo said in a press release Tuesday.
